Background: Glycaemic control is the central focus of diabetes management. Lifestyle management plays a vital role in achieving proper glycaemic control. Healthy diet an integral part lifestyle diabetics. Provision nutrition education and self-management care for type 2 diabetics limited Sri Lanka. Aim: Therefore, current study was conducted with objective developing dietary booklet to facilitate provide necessary skills individuals diabetes. Method: This qualitative two phases as content development phase validation phase. Twenty-two (n = 22) healthcare professionals including Diabetologists, Dietitians, Diabetes Education Nurses Researchers involved related research were recruited identify contents proposed booklet. A self-administered online questionnaire used obtain health professionals’ opinions, concerns suggestions contents. composed native language appropriate illustrations. Illustrations layout developed by professional designer using Adobe Photoshop Illustrator software. In addition, readability checked expert use, spelling, grammar, terminology sentence patterns. Results: Booklet designed six chapters including; “Background information management”; Dietary guidelines therapy diabetes”; “Specific types food products “Preparation specific days occasions”; “Guidelines tips modify diet” “Interactive worksheets diabetes”. Draft validated panel twenty-two individual Healthcare validity whereas face performed participation Derived index (CVI) scale level (S-CVI) 0.8 respectively. All comments received at process considered incorporated amendments. Discussion: Validation indicated that effective delivering diabetic condition.
